Hi there,

I hope this email finds you well!

My name is Sophie Meyer and I'm emailing to let you know about an exciting opportunity opening up for first year flatters who are thinking of moving to Christchurch in 2017. A group of us from Riccarton Community Church (RCC) have recently launched The Peverel Flats - rental accommodation for young Christians leaving home to study in Christchurch.

Our vision is to provide a supportive environment, a connection to RCC's young adults community, as well as practical help with flat life. We also aim to empower our flatters to take ownership of their faith and all the challenges associated with their first year away from home.

So, our next task is to find said students! It would be fantastic if you could forward this email on to youth pastors, families who might be interested, put it in church newsletters or anyone else you think would like to know. Feel free to share our website peverelflats.co.nz, or check us out on Facebook. I have also attached a flyer for you to use as you wish.

No doubt you have some questions - for more detail, visit our website or reply to this email. I'd love to hear from you.

Warm regards

Sophie Meyer

Cake Decorating Workshop

Hi there!

We are going to plan a cake decorating workshop.  It will be a Thursday or Friday towards the end of June or beginning of July.
Participants will need to bring a cake and possibly a packet of appropriate icing.  There will be a small fee to cover equipment and consumables supplied by the lady taking the workshop.
We can give further details later, but for now, we would like expressions of interest and preferred days.
Further ideas are to donate the cakes to a fundraiser or have a shared meal on the Friday with cake for dessert.  Any suggestions?

Happy Homeschooling!
Kim

Great news from Canterbury University
Home-school Student Award
Hi,
I'd like to bring to your attention some recent work we have been doing at the University of Canterbury clarifying progression to university for home-school students. There are several pathways for home-school students to gain admission to UC for degree level study, which are outlined on a new web page we have created. Also for the first time UC Arts is offering a College Award especially for home-school students, which is tied to one of those pathways.
UC Arts is offering home-schooled students the opportunity to receive a College Award of $3000 towards fees in their first year of full time study in a BA, MusB, or BFA.
Please contact us if you would like to discuss ways that we can promote this offer to home-school students through your networks, or if you have questions about the College Award or the STAR programme.
For any enquiries about Special Admission or the STAR Programme please contact:
