Good morning. There are still some spaces left for our NZ Book Awards celebrations. We would love to have some of your students come along and get involved with some fun activities at the library.
Hope to hear from you soon.
The annual New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults is being celebrated in the library during the week of the
14th – 18th August.
The Westland District Library invites your class to the library to help us celebrate one of the finalists. The book we have chosen to focus on this year is
Fuzzy Doodle by Melinda Szymanik. Melinda Szymanik's book is a finalist in the picture book and illustration category.
There will be an opportunity for your junior students to listen to Fuzzy Doodle being read, take part in a scavenger hunt, and get creative making their own colourful butterflies.
We will display each masterpiece in the library.
Below are the dates and times for class visits. Sessions will run for one hour.
Tuesday 15th 11am
Wednesday 16th 11am and 1.30pm
Thursday 17th 11am and 1.30pm
Please email me with your preferred date and time, remember first in first served.
