The West Coast branch of Forest & Bird and the Kiwi Conservation Club invite you to this not to be missed Conservation Week event.
Putting Nature on the Map
11am to 3pm, Sunday 5th September, Greymouth High School Hall
Come along for the unique opportunity of experiencing the South Island / Te Wai Pounamu as you've never seen before ... a giant floor map of the South Island so big it fills the school hall!
You will be able to walk (with shoes off) all over the map and experience the wonders of the South Island. There will be storytelling sessions across the map by local experts on Penguins, Wild Rivers, Kiwi, Backcountry Huts, Predator Free Projects, Sea Stacks and more. Children/families can take on nature adventure challenges with prize packs on completion. Local conservation, nature restoration and outdoor recreational groups will also have displays around the map.
Free drop-in event open to all.
Hope to see you there for a map that needs to be seen to be believed.
